Job Description |
ECU School of Art and Design is currently seeking several Gray Gallery Assistants. We are a small team, interested in creating a hands-on experience for students. Specific responsibilities will include: -Exhibition preparation and documentation -Archiving Gray Gallery exhibition materials and the permanent collection -Office organization -Database entry for inventory -Basic art-handling (i.e. art storage, protection and organization) -Monitoring the gallery and helping direct guests as they view exhibitions This is a flexible position. Students will work two-three days a week during gallery hours of operation. Schedules are to be determined by student employees and the gallery curator. Hourly rate will be $10 per hour. Preferred (Majors, Experience, GPA, etc.) | Some experience using Photoshop and InDesign is preferred, but not essential. Candidates must demonstrate an interest in contemporary art, be organized, be able to work independently, and have the ability to carry themselves in a professional manner. |
