East Coast Contracting (ECC) is a Commerical Construction company that specializes in all facets of exterior and interior repairs and upgrades. ECC estimators perform a critical role by winning contracts with best-in-market pricing while ensuring customer requirements are fully met, always. Job leads will be provided. The estimator must review bid packages, conduct site visits, perform material takeoffs, conduct market research to solicit pricing from vendors, evaluate labor requirements and account for contingencies. Estimators work closely with the operations team to determine scheduling and provide job estimates to customers.
Basic Qualifications for Estimator
- Prior experience estimating labor required
- Prior experience with exterior renovation
- Ability to understand technical drawings and requirements
- Blueprints
- Ability to use take-off software
- Basic computing skills (Microsoft office, cloud-based filing)
- Deep knowledge of how processes work
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to put together a professional presentation
- Analytical and math skills
- Ability to work well on a team
- Very detail oriented
Preferred Qualifications:
Five (5) years of hands-on construction and/or engineering experience.
Responsibilities for Estimator
- Must be able to handle change and have a commitment towards improving the organization.
- Analyze requirements for a project and confirm labor, material, and time requirements for a project.
- Capable of estimating costs by looking at the entire project.
- Present cost estimates to upper management.
- Prepare reports detailing all the costs going into a project.
- Input cost data into company database.
- Notice and report differences between estimated cost and actual cost.
- Collaborate with the sales team to prepare proposals
Computer Literacy:
Applicants must possess the skills necessary to work in an all-digital environment.
Physical Requirements
MUST BE PHYSICALLY ABLE TO FULLY INSPECT SINGLE-FAMILY HOMES, COMMERCIAL BUILDINGS, HIGH-RISE BUILDINGS AND SLOPES OR CHALLENGING TERRAIN. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE CRAWLING UNDER BUILDINGS, CRAWLING IN TIGHT CRAWLSPACES AND TIGHT ACCESS AREAS, BASEMENT ACCESS, CLIMBING STAIRS AND LADDERS.

Must own your own vehicle and have a valid driver's license.
