Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Chimney Sweep Technician to perform thorough chimney inspections, cleaning, and maintenance services. The ideal candidate is skilled in identifying potential issues, ensuring safety standards are met, and providing exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities:
- Chimney Cleaning & Maintenance: Perform comprehensive chimney cleaning, removal of creosote and debris, and ensure proper ventilation.
- Inspections: Conduct detailed inspections of chimneys, vents, and fireplaces to identify safety hazards, blockages, or potential repair needs.
- Repairs & Recommendations: Provide minor repair services as needed and advise customers on necessary repairs or maintenance to ensure safe operation.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and industry regulations during cleaning and repair procedures.
- Customer Interaction: Communicate clearly with clients, explain inspection results, and provide guidance on maintenance best practices.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of services performed and report any findings to the service coordinator or management.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other technicians and support staff to ensure quality service and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in chimney sweeping, inspection, or a related field is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of chimney and fireplace systems, creosote removal techniques, and industry safety standards.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a physically demanding, outdoor environment.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Willingness to undergo background checks and any necessary certification training.
