Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and certified NFI Fireplace Installer or NFI Master Hearth Professional (MHP) to join our expert team. This role involves installing, servicing, and maintaining fireplaces with a focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. As an integral part of our company, you will ensure every project meets our high standards and delights our clients. MHP-certified professionals will also handle advanced responsibilities such as training, customer consultations, complex troubleshooting, and code compliance oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install gas, wood, electric, and pellet fireplaces, stoves, and inserts according to NFI standards and local building codes.
- Conduct safety checks and performance tests on all installations to ensure proper functionality and compliance.
- Troubleshoot and repair fireplace systems as needed.
- Collaborate with designers, sales teams, and customers to ensure proper placement and installation of fireplace units.
- Provide consultations to customers regarding unit selection, placement, design options, and compliance requirements.
- Educate customers on safe operation, maintenance, and care for their fireplaces.
- Keep accurate records of installations, maintenance, and service calls.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work environment.
- For MHP-certified professionals: Serve as a technical resource for employee training, code compliance, complex installations, and advanced troubleshooting.
Qualifications:
- NFI Certification required (Gas, Wood, or Pellet Specialist). NFI MHP Certification preferred for advanced responsibilities.
- Proven experience in fireplace installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and manufacturer specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
