What are the responsibilities and job description for the Experienced Electrical Apprentice position at East Coast Generator?
East Coast Generator has been in business for over 10 years servicing both residential and commercial customers in the South Shore and surrounding towns. We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Apprentice to add to our growing team. Our main goal is for our customers to never feel helpless during a power outage.
Working at East Coast Generator your primary role will be the installation of both residential and commercial stand by and emergency generators. The ideal candidate must understand and comply with the National Electrical Code. Here you will work closely with an electrical apprentice to complete assigned jobs.
Responsibilities include:
- Installation and wiring of stand by generators, automatic transfer switches and electrical panels
- Proficient in troubleshooting electrical problems and/or installing upgrades to electrical systems as necessary
- Proficient in utilizing wiring diagrams and manufacturer’s installation manuals to complete assigned projects
- Maintain proper inventory of materials within the company provided vehicle
- Prompt completion of installation paperwork and documentation (including taking pictures)
- Ability to complete projects unsupervised and problem solve when necessary
- Must have strong communication skills to work as a team as well as individually
Minimum qualifications/requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation and clean driving record
- Must be proficient with the use of computers and tablets
- Generator experience/knowledge preferred (but not required)

Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
