East Coast Golf Management, Inc. (ECG), is now hiring a full-time Host/Hostess at our Sea Trail location in Sunset Beach, NC.

POSITION SUMMARY
To ensure all restaurant guests are greeted, made to feel welcome and seated in a friendly and courteous manner.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Support a strong commitment to world class customer service.
- Greet all restaurant patrons immediately upon their arrival.
- Inquire as to the number of guests in the party; maintains wait lists and communicates wait time to guests.
- Using established procedures, assigns guests to server stations in a fair and equitable manner; takes guests to servers station, along with the appropriate number of menus and seats guests accordingly.
- Controls guest volume level at entrance to restaurant. Attends to and anticipates guests needs while waiting to be seated.
- Answers customer inquiries about the menu and restaurant.
- Answers phones and books reservations as requested.
- Performs opening and closing side work duties as assigned; assists with pre-bussing and table set up activities.
- Acknowledges and thanks guests upon their departure from the restaurant.
- Maintains restrooms throughout shift.
- Completes all training requirements.
- Performs any other duties, assignments and responsibilities as requested.
OTHER FUNCTIONS
The Host/Hostess may also:
- Perform other duties as needed to ensure the smooth operations of the company.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Education/Credentials
- High School education or equivalent experience
- Ability to calculate figures and make change to customers.
- Ability to verbally communicate with customers and other associates.
- Ability to write business correspondence, i.e, phone messages and seating patterns.
- Ability to speak clearly and unhurriedly on the telephone.
Experience
- Previous experience at a resort/club is preferred.
