Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Irrigation and Pump Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with irrigation systems, pumps, and related equipment, and be committed to providing excellent service to our customers. As an Irrigation and Pump Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of irrigation systems and pumps in a variety of settings.
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair irrigation systems, pumps, and related equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with irrigation systems and pumps.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure system efficiency and longevity.
- Install and configure irrigation controllers and timers.
- Provide recommendations for system upgrades or repairs based on customer needs.
- Respond to customer inquiries and provide exceptional customer service.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and equipment serviced.
- Adhere to all safety standards and company policies while performing duties.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior technicians as needed.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in irrigation or pump systems is a plus.
- Proven experience as an irrigation and pump technician or in a related field.
- Strong knowledge of irrigation systems, pumps, and related equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in outdoor conditions.
- Flexibility to work weekends or on-call shifts if needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification from a recognized irrigation or pump association (e.g., IA, NIR).
- Experience with landscape irrigation design and installation.
Knowledge of water conservation techniques and smart irrigation technology.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
