Irrigation Technician

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Irrigation Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in landscape maintenance and irrigation systems, with the ability to effectively manage and maintain irrigation setups for various gardens and landscapes. This role requires mechanical knowledge, proficiency with power and hand tools, and a commitment to ensuring optimal irrigation practices for healthy lawns and gardens.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair irrigation systems for residential and commercial properties.
• Assess landscape needs to determine appropriate irrigation solutions.
• Utilize power tools and hand tools to build and modify irrigation systems as necessary.
• Conduct regular inspections of irrigation systems to identify issues or areas for improvement.
• Dig trenches for piping installation and repairs as needed.
• Collaborate with landscape maintenance teams to ensure cohesive care of lawns and gardens.
• Provide recommendations for efficient water usage and landscape health improvement.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including repairs, installations, and maintenance schedules.

Requirements

• Proven experience in landscape maintenance or a related field is preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot irrigation systems effectively.
• Familiarity with various power tools and hand tools used in landscaping and irrigation work.
• Ability to dig trenches and perform physical labor as required by the job.
• Knowledge of lawn care practices and plant health is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and clients.

Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
