Irrigation Foreman

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Irrigation Foreman to oversee and manage irrigation installation and maintenance projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in irrigation systems, excellent leadership skills, and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality work on time and within budget. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on leader to guide a team of irrigation professionals while ensuring optimal system performance and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise a team of irrigation technicians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems.
• Plan and organize daily work schedules and ensure tasks are completed efficiently and on time.
• Inspect job sites to assess needs, identify challenges, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and project specifications.
• Train and mentor new and existing team members on industry best practices, safety procedures, and technical skills.
• Oversee the proper installation of sprinkler systems, controllers, valves, pumps, and other components.
• Troubleshoot system issues and perform repairs or adjustments as needed to ensure optimal system functionality.
• Maintain detailed records of all projects, including work completed, materials used, and any issues encountered.
• Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates on project progress, address concerns, and ensure satisfaction.
• Ensure all team members adhere to company policies, safety guidelines, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure seamless project execution.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in irrigation system installation, maintenance, and repair (minimum 3-5 years preferred).
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
• In-depth knowledge of irrigation systems, including controllers, valves, sprinkler heads, piping, and drainage systems.
• Ability to read and interpret site plans, and technical documents.
• Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing irrigation systems.
• Familiarity with various irrigation products, tools, and technologies.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Irrigation certification (e.g., from Irrigation Association or similar) is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift heavy equipment and materials (up to 50 lbs).
• Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions.
• Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
