21st CCLC Program Director

Job Description:
East End United Community Center is looking for a self-directed, talented individual to serve as a Program Director for its 21st Century Community Learning Center (CCLC) Cohort 11 Grant. Administered by the Department of Education, this 21st CCLC grant funds out-of-school time services for students in grades 1-5 at Lafayette, Ben Franklin, and Waynesburg Central elementary schools.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Planning for all aspects of out-of-school time programming.
- Working with teachers, students, and school administrators to design an exciting and engaging schedule of programs for academic enrichment and exploration.
- Daily oversight of programs and staff.
- Tracking program participation levels, daily attendance, and evaluation measures.
- Recruiting teachers and instructors and supporting them.
- Overseeing the 21st CCLC grant budget and approving expenditures as appropriate and in accordance with the grant’s guidelines.
- Maintaining communications and meeting regularly with the East End United Community Center Executive Director, 21st CCLC Cohort 12 Program Director, 21st CCLC Program Evaluator and various district administrators.
- Organizing quarterly open houses and biannual advisory board meetings to encourage parental and community engagement in the program.
- Establishing, maintaining, and strengthening community partnerships.
- Reviewing program evaluation and writing quarterly and annual reports as required.
- Participating in state and regional meetings, conferences, workshops, and other activities.
- Developing and implementing an advocacy plan for promoting the program and its successes.
- Developing and implementing a sustainability plan for the program and following through on efforts, grants, and activities to secure funding.
- Working closely with PDE to stay abreast of changes and trends.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's (Required)
- Relevant experience in education or running similar programs is strongly desired.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Experience with grant writing and budget management.
- Friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Maintain a professional appearance, attitude, and work ethic at all times.
