Fire Code Enforcement Specialist
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to serve as our Fire Code Enforcement Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for enforcing fire safety codes and regulations, conducting investigations, and providing education to the public on fire safety best practices.
- Conduct thorough investigations of reported fire hazards and take corrective action as necessary.
- Enforce fire safety codes and regulations through regular inspections and monitoring.
- Develop and implement public education programs to promote fire safety awareness and prevention.
- Collaborate with local authorities, emergency services, and other stakeholders to ensure effective fire safety practices.
- Maintain accurate records of investigations, enforcement activities, and educational efforts.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; two years of experience in fire safety inspection, code enforcement, or related field preferred.
- Strong knowledge of fire safety codes, regulations, and standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
