**Job Summary**

Responsibilities:
- Enforce state and local zoning, building, health and safety, land use, and housing codes through research, investigation, inspection, and follow-up activities.
- Interpret and explain laws and regulations to the public, ensuring compliance and resolving issues efficiently.
- Collaborate with other departments to achieve common goals and objectives.
Requirements:
- Experience: One (1) year of public contact involving interpretation and explanation or enforcement of laws and regulations for Code Enforcement Officer - I.
- Two (2) years of responsible experience performing duties similar to Code Enforcement Officer I in Placer County for Code Enforcement Officer - II.
- Training: Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade.
- Possession of a valid certificate of completion of Penal Code 832 Course in Arrest, Search, and Seizure issued by California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training to be obtained within twelve (12) months of employment.
