We are looking for an enterprising, self-starting individual to join our company as an Business Development Representative. As a representative, you recognize and cultivate potential sales leads, travel to meet with prospective partners, and endeavor to transform one-off sales into lasting beneficial relationships. You use your skills in deal closing, direct sales, B2B sales, and niche marketing to demonstrate to partners just how our services can benefit their bottom line.

Business Development Representative Duties and Responsibilities

  • Initiate outgoing cold calling and emailing to potential customers, schedule in-person sales appointments, and follow up on client requests for information
  • Travel within your territory (Truckee, North Shore Lake Tahoe, and Reno/Sparks) to meet partners one-on-one
  • Develop relationships with general contractors, solar companies, mobile home parks, realtors, property managers, etc.
  • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of our products and services, and how they can benefit our customers, namely our project and recurring service offerings in roof replacements, repairs, solar, rooftop snow removal, and inspections.
  • Support customers after initial sales to ensure satisfaction and realize opportunities for further sales.
  • Build and maintain a network of referrals to create new opportunities for growth.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales, calls, lost business, expense reimbursements, etc.

Business Development Representative Requirements and Qualifications

  • A self-starting personality with a spirit of entrepreneurship
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills, incorporating a win-win perspective.
  • Grit and determination.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Prior experience in sales, particularly in a B2B environment
  • Understanding of common sales techniques and theory, including sales funnel

Work Structure:

Set your own hours.

Sufficient weekly consistency to develop and improve client relationships.

Applicants must be a current Nevada Resident.

Compensation:

  • Hourly (Negotiable based on experience.)
  • Commission
  • Mileage Reimbursement
  • Expense Reimbursement

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week

Benefits:
