What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bulletin 2366 Long Term Substitute Teacher at RISE Program at East Middle School position at East Middle School?
The special education RISE teacher works with general education teachers and other service providers to support students with disabilities in and out of the general education classroom. The teacher ensures that all students have access to a quality, inclusive education.
The RISE teacher assists in designing and implementing individual accommodations, modifications, and specialized instruction based on specific needs in each students Individualized Education Program (IEP). The teacher will be responsible for supporting inclusion Science, Social Studies, electives as well as small group ELA and Math. This assignment also involves supporting the social, emotional, and academic growth of students while fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment.
The ideal candidate is a true team player, licensed in moderate special needs 5-12 and have experience working in secondary specialized programs.
This position runs through the end of the school year 2025.
