While EMCC does not function as a for-profit entity, it is nonetheless incumbent upon the Accountant/Financial and Budget Analyst to promote institutional fiscal stability such that the college is prepared to deal with the unexpected or otherwise adverse financial situations, i.e., budget shortfalls produced by over-projection of tuition revenue.

A fundamental goal of the Accountant/Financial and Budget Analyst should be for no EMCC account to ever go in the “red.”     While unexpected circumstances may preclude the attainment of that goal as an absolute, it should remain an ideal by which the Accountant/Financial and Budget Analysist is guided.
