Description
Responsible for maintenance and upkeep of the physical plant and transportation equipment.
Duties
- Provides general and preventive maintenance of physical plant, grounds, and vehicles;
- Recognizes and reports to the Maintenance Supervisor all safety hazards for correction and/or appraisal;
- Recognizes and reports to the Maintenance Supervisor all needed repairs or modifications necessary to maintain and safely operate the physical plant, grounds, and vehicles efficiently and at optimal level;
- Plans, installs, maintains, and troubleshoots campus carpentry, electrical, and plumbing systems;
- Requests materials, supplies, and services necessary for repairs, improvements, and general maintenance to college property;
- Makes repairs in an efficient and timely manner, with priority on the welfare of students;
Qualifications and Required Documents
Education:
Associate degree, preferred; relevant certifications, required
Skills:
Basic understanding of electrical and plumbing work, required.
Work Experience include required number of years documented experience in a comparable/related position:
5 years of relevant experience in carpentry, required.
Other Qualifications:
Experience supervising construction projects, preferred
