Program Director Job Description
Organization Overview: EPATT is a small, dynamic, sports-based youth development non-profit organization dedicated to helping students thrive in college and career pathways. We aim to inspire and equip young people to achieve their personal and academic goals by combining athletic coaching with high impact tutoring, essential life and educational guidance, and parent engagement. We envision a future where all students in our community have the skills they need to effectively pursue their passions. Position Overview: The Program Director will oversee the development, coordination, and execution of all programs, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission and objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in program management, youth development, and sports (especially tennis). They will also be passionate about guiding young people through educational and career pathways.
Reporting to the Executive Director (ED), the Program Director will be responsible for the operational success of EPATT, ensuring positive and effective team management and development, program delivery, quality control and evaluation. The Program Director will manage and develop a growing staff to fulfill the mission, vision, and goals of the organization. The Program Director will be the key external face of EPATT in the community and with key partners.

Format: Flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends to accommodate program activities. Combination of office-based and on-site program coordination.
Compensation: $100-$110K (DOE)

Key Responsibilities
Leadership:
● Cultivate existing relationships with partners with the goal of growing program impact and securing sufficient space and resources for programming.
● Develop and implement strategies that will maximize the impact of every aspect of EPATT’s programming
● Develop and explore new program partnerships that further the mission of the organization.
Team Management and Development:
● Recruit, hire, and oversee training, orientation, and onboarding of all full-time and part time staff members (excluding the tutoring team).
● Develop and implement a system to evaluate the skill, experience, and professional development needs of all staff.
● Implement a professional development program to address employee experience and skill gaps.
● Work with staff to develop objective performance measurements to ensure consistent, high-quality evaluation and goal setting for all employees.
● Help employees scale toward meeting stated goals and improving job performance and address all personnel discipline incidents and corrective actions.
● Coordinate with teams across the organization to provide support for all staff and program partners.
Program Development and Management:
● Lead the team in the design and management of tennis, athletic, and college/career readiness programs that engage and support youth in achieving their full potential.
● Collaborate with the Executive Director and staff to establish goals, program curricula, and evaluation metrics.
● Ensure all programs maintain high standards of safety, inclusivity, and quality.
● Design policies, procedures, and strategies to meet program objectives.
Community Engagement
● Build and maintain partnerships with local schools, community organizations, and other stakeholders to expand program reach and participation.
● Organize and attend community events to promote awareness of the organization and recruit program participants.
Evaluation and Reporting
● Collect, analyze, and report program data to assess impact and identify areas for improvement.
● Prepare regular progress reports for the Executive Director and team
● Use data to evaluate the effectiveness of program implementation and establish consistent, objective program performance standards
Budget and Fundraising Support
● Work with the Executive Director to develop and manage program budgets, ensuring efficient allocation and usage of resources.
● Assist with data gathering for grant writing, reporting, and fundraising events
Qualifications

Specific requirements include:
● Experience having worked with a high-performance, collaborative, constructive peer group
● Strong project management skills managing complex, multifaceted projects resulting in measurable successes and program growth
● Strength in hiring, recruiting, managing, developing, coaching, and retaining individuals and teams, empowering them to elevate their levels of responsibility, span-of-control and performance
● Demonstrated results in managing through complex situations, team-building, de escalating difficult interactions, and proven experience negotiating win-win agreements
● Deep understanding of human resources, employee performance improvement plans, and corrective action policies
● Demonstrated success developing and evaluating program models, and selecting and successfully operationalizing innovative programs
● Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
● Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a commitment to and passion for EPATT’s mission
● Proficient in using technology as a management reporting tool and experience working with information technology staff to develop and implement program evaluation systems
● Bachelor’s degree in Education, Sports Management, Non-Profit Management, or related field (Master’s preferred).
● Minimum of 5 years of experience in youth program management, preferably in a non-profit setting.
● At least 3 years of experience in a team management role
