Navitas is ready to invest in you! We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Manager to lead and oversee the facilities maintenance activities across three sites. This role requires both hands-on technical expertise in electrical systems and facilities management, as well as the ability to manage a team, collaborate with contractors, and drive facility uptime.
Responsibilities:- Lead and manage a team of facility maintenance technicians to meet productivity, quality, and safety standards
- Perform hands-on electrical and general maintenance tasks, troubleshooting and repairing systems including lighting, HVAC, electrical panels, power distribution, and emergency systems.
- Develop, implement, and manage preventative maintenance programs to ensure facility systems are in optimal working condition.
- Oversee the maintenance, inspection, and repair of building infrastructure, including plumbing, HVAC, and other critical systems.
- Manage relationships with external contractors and service providers, including coordinating scheduling, performance, and invoicing.
- Ensure all third-party contractors meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards, and work within established budgets.
- Proactively manage facility uptime, ensuring minimal disruptions to daily operations.
- Monitor performance of facility systems and drive initiatives to improve reliability and reduce downtime.
- Develop, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess team performance, equipment reliability, and facility uptime.
- Provide regular reports to senior management, identifying trends, areas for improvement, and progress on maintenance goals.
- Use CMMS software to track work orders, maintenance schedules, and historical data.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date records are maintained for all equipment and systems.
- Oversee spare parts inventory and procurement, ensuring essential parts are available to minimize downtime.
- Performs in a manner that will prevent errors and omissions
- Follow all safety guidelines and operate in a safe manner
- Physical presence on the job is essential and necessary
- Other duties as assigned by management
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities maintenance with experience managing a team of at least 2 or more people and at least 2 years of experience as an electrician
- Experience in lithium-ion battery manufacturing or clean room operations preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Comfortable supporting US military-funded work and building products for military testing and use
- Strong electrical knowledge and ability to troubleshoot and repair complex systems.
- Proficiency in using CMMS software for work order management, reporting, and tracking maintenance activities.
- Strong knowledge of facility systems (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, etc.) and safety standards.
- Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and vendor relationships.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate a team and interact effectively with contractors and senior management.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to travel between three sites
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed to address urgent issues or maintenance needs
ITAR REQUIREMENTS: To conform to U.S. Government International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) the individual must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
