What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Receptionist/Assistant position at East Tennessee Veterinary Ultrasound?
We have a new opening for an entry-level veterinary assistant. Our veterinary assistant will provide our existing team members with assistance with patient care and restraint, light cleaning, equipment maintenance and stocking. Our practice is limited to outpatient ultrasound and echocardiography / cardiology services. This position is currently part time only, Mondays and Tuesdays from 8:00-4:00.
This is an entry-level position. We are looking primarily for someone who has a kind, calm and patient demeanor, a rapport with animals, a strong work ethic and excellent reliability.
Responsibilities:
- Provide restraint and gentle care for our patients
- Assistance with prepping animals for imaging
- Assist with office duties, light cleaning, and maintenance of equipment
Requirements:
- Ability to follow instructions
- Ability to be trained to safely handle animals using Fear Free Techniques
- Have attention for details
- Be gentle and patient with the animals in our care
- Possess excellent communication skills and have outstanding reliability
- Be willing to take a drug test
** Experience working for an animal hospital is preferred but not required
