What are the responsibilities and job description for the Call Center Support Specialist - Bi-Lingual Preferred position at East Texas Community Health Services, Inc.?
JOB SUMMARY: This position acts as an initial contact for patients seeking services with ETCHSI and is critical to the effective flow of daily services and overall entity productivity. Additionally, this position will add positive patient/entity relations by providing an easily accessible, culturally sensitive way of obtaining information and services.
KEY FUNCTIONS:
- Uses proper telephone etiquette and promptly transfers calls when appropriate to other ETCHSI personnel.
- Answers, completes and/or routes all incoming calls, faxes and mail as directed
- Utilizes the current appointment guidelines to schedule and reschedule patient appointments appropriately and in a timely manner
- Makes reminder calls to confirm existing appointments and inform appointed patients of any documentation or other items that will be necessary to successfully complete their visit
- Updates demographic and insurance information at each visit to help insure compliance with data reporting and fiscal performance measure indicators
- Scans documents into the patient record, i.e., new patient information packet, referral reports, and test results as backup to the medical clerks. High School diploma or equivalent
EXPERIENCE:
Ability to use Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite and email.
SKILLS:
Previous medical office experience preferred.
Bi-Lingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
