What are the responsibilities and job description for the Emergency Response Advocate/ Residential Advocate position at East Texas Crisis Center?
Objective: To provide crisis intervention and advocacy services to victims of sexual assault and family violence in Smith, Henderson, Wood, Van Zandt, and Rains Counties.
General Description: Provide on-call hospital accompaniment and advocacy services at the local hospital emergency rooms.
Provide emergency safe lodging referrals, Provide Crisis intervention and advocacy services for victims of sexual assault and family violence as well as needs of shelter residents.
Assist with risk assessment and safety planning with clients.
Provide timely follow-up and information/ referral services.
Complete necessary client documentation, maintain current progress notes, document services on Osnium tracking system, and all required forms.
Attend weekly administrative/client staff meetings
Assist Sexual Assault Counselors with administrative duties,
Answer the 24 hour hotline. Assist with other duties as requested.
Qualification:
Degree or near completion of degree in psychological, counseling, social work, or other related studies. Work experience is social services may be substituted for Bachelor's Degree
Bilingual a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
