Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Facilitator to join our team to implement the Violence Intervention Network (VIN) program which is certified by the Criminal Justice Division of the State of Texas as a Batterers Intervention & Prevention Program (BIPP) and the agency’s Anger Management Program.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate and conduct client screening and orientation to individuals referred to the program.

Lead BIPP or Anger Management groups when facilitators are unavailable or as demand

increases.

Research appropriate material and hand-outs for the VIN program.

Ensure the program fulfills all documentation requirements including data entry into the database,

required submissions to parole/probation and other referring entities; case notes/intake notes, etc.

Ensure facilitators are adhering to the Duluth model for BIPP groups.

Assist facilitators in responding to concerns regarding participants including communicating to

parole/probation when issues arise.

Communicate with group participants when there are behavioral concerns that will require

discharge.

Maintain regular contact with criminal justice probation agencies in each county of service enhancing the referral system and networking to improve service delivery.

Meet face-to-face with probation departments in each county at a minimum of once each year.

Ensure that referrals for substance abuse treatment is made by the probation department as needed.

Assist the Director or Sr. Director of Programs with interviewing and hiring for vacant positions within the VIN Program.

Provide orientation and training for VIN employees, facilitators, volunteers, interns and practicum students.

Provide guidance to facilitators, VIN Receptionist, volunteers, interns and practicum students.

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 29 per week
