Job Description: Violence Intervention Prevention/BIPP Facilitator- Outreach Counties

Wood County (Quitman) and support to Henderson County and Van Zandt as needed.

Responsibilities:
· Facilitate groups for domestic violence offenders through the Batterer's Intervention & Prevention Program (BIPP).

· Facilitate a minimum of three 1.5 hours of BIPP group sessions weekly in the outreach counties of Van Zandt (Canton), Henderson (Athens) and Wood county (Quitman).

· Facilitators are required to complete State-mandated initial training in 25 hours of battering intervention and 15 hours of family violence.

· Facilitator must be able to work flexible hours.

· Maintain daily progress notes and required documentation for each client.

· Attend or complete professional trainings as required.

· Establish a collaborative working relationship with the courts, probation, parole, local district/county attorney's office and law enforcements agencies.

· Assist with public education as requested.

Requirements:
· College Degree in Social Work or related field preferred

. Counseling experience in the field of criminal justice, drug treatment or any related programs

· Knowledge of clinical intervention, social work theory and ethics.

· Experience in and knowledge of family violence theory preferred.

· Skill in communicating effectively, both verbally and in writing.

· Ability and willingness to work within a team-based culture with a focus on individual development and organizational growth.
