Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team at the newly remodeled Eastbay Lodge. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and exceptional service from the moment they arrive. This role requires excellent communication skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to manage guest relations effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Greet guests as they arrive and provide them with a warm welcome.
- Manage the seating chart and ensure efficient table turnover while maintaining guest comfort.
- Utilize POS or other point-of-sale systems to assist with reservations and manage waitlists.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to ensure timely service.
- Assist guests with inquiries regarding menu items, specials, and restaurant policies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area.
- Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism, ensuring satisfactory resolutions.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive dining experience for all guests.
Experience
- Previous experience in customer service or hospitality is preferred.
- Familiarity with food service operations is an advantage.
- Proficiency in using POS systems, is beneficial but not required as training will be provided.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure are essential.
- A commitment to providing excellent guest services and enhancing overall guest relations is crucial for success in this role.
