The Eastchester Union Free School District seeks an experienced Special Education Teacher / Reading Specialist to fill a probationary vacancy in the Anne Hutchinson School. The Special Education Teacher / Reading Specialist will support student success by addressing individual reading needs through research-based, multisensory interventions. The ideal candidate will have expertise in literacy instruction, including strategies to strengthen reading comprehension, phonemic awareness, fluency, and vocabulary development for elementary students. Responsibilities include collaborating with MTSS teams, and administrators to monitor student progress and ensure appropriate support is in place to meet the needs of special education students. The candidate should also be skilled in administering standardized academic assessments.
Requirements :
- NYS certification : Reading / Literacy (Birth-6th grade)
- NYS certification in Special Education
- NYSED Fingerprint Clearance
