We are seeking a highly organized, enthusiastic, and experienced Summer Camp Coordinator to manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of our summer camp. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in youth programs, leadership, and event coordination, with the ability to manage camp staff, activities, and logistics to ensure a safe, fun, and enriching experience for all campers.

 

  1. Technology Program Development & Implementation:

    • Design, plan, and implement hands-on technology programs, including coding, robotics, digital media, game development, 3D printing, and other STEM activities.

    • Develop age-appropriate curricula that encourage learning, creativity, and teamwork among campers.

    • Continuously assess and adapt programs based on camper feedback, available resources, and emerging technologies.

  2. Staff Supervision & Management:

    • Recruit, train, and supervise a team of camp counselors and tech instructors.

    • Provide guidance and mentorship to staff, ensuring they have the tools and support necessary to engage campers effectively.

    • Hold regular staff meetings to discuss performance, challenges, and camper progress.

    • Ensure that all staff adhere to safety and behavior protocols, particularly with technology equipment and tools.

  3. Camper Safety & Wellbeing:

    • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all campers, especially when working with technology, tools, and equipment.

    • Enforce safe practices in the use of technology and supervise camper behavior, including ensuring safe online interactions.

    • Respond to camper issues, emergencies, or concerns with professionalism and care.

    • Ensure adherence to medical procedures and that all staff are trained in first aid and emergency protocols.

  4. Camp Logistics & Operations:

    • Oversee the daily camp schedule, ensuring smooth transitions between activities while keeping campers engaged and focused.

    • Manage technology equipment, ensuring it is properly maintained, functioning, and safe for use.

    • Organize and maintain inventory of tech supplies, software, and hardware, and handle replenishment or replacement as necessary.

    • Maintain accurate records of camper attendance, incidents, and feedback.

  5. OEC and Health Paperwork:

    • Ensure all required Office of Early Childhood and health-related paperwork is completed and up-to-date for all campers.

    • Maintain detailed health records for campers, including allergies, medical conditions, and emergency contacts.

    • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, and follow proper procedures for emergencies, medical incidents, or required documentation.

    • Collaborate with the Director to maintain a safe environment through appropriate risk assessments and health and safety protocols.

  6. Communication & Parent Relations:

    • Maintain clear and open communication with parents regarding camper progress, concerns, and updates.

    • Host parent meetings or orientation sessions to introduce the camp’s technology programs and ensure clear expectations.

    • Provide regular reports to the Director regarding camp performance, activities, and camper achievements.

  7. Technology Promotion & Marketing (Optional):

    • Assist with promoting the camp through social media, local events, and outreach to schools or community organizations.

    • Participate in pre-camp events or orientations to engage with potential campers and their families.

    • Showcase camper projects and achievements through digital platforms or presentations.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in education

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in youth programs

  • Certification:

    • First Aid and CPR certification required

    • Experience with all required OEC and health paperwork, including documentation and compliance with relevant regulations.

  • Skills & Abilities:

    • Strong knowledge of technology, coding, and STEM principles.

    • Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.

    • Ability to engage with and inspire young learners in a technology-focused environment.

    • Strong problem-solving skills, particularly in resolving technical issues or camper concerns.

    • Ability to work effectively in both outdoor and indoor environments, balancing tech activities with physical engagement.

Working Conditions:

  • This is a duration position totalling no more than 8 days with programs dates from July  7th, 2025 to July 11th, 2025

  • The role requires both indoor and outdoor work, with periods of sitting at computers and engaging in hands-on tech activities.
