Full-Time; Non-Exempt
Hybrid Position
We are looking to add a Human Resources Assistant to our team. This person will support the daily functions of Human Resources and be exposed to the full life cycle of an employee. This position is based in Silver Spring, MD and is currently a hybrid position 2-3 days in office, however this is subject to change as needed.
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Posts and monitors positions on various recruiting sites such as ADP, really etc..
- Composes offer letters and sends to candidates.
- Tracks applicants throughout the recruiting process in our applicant tracking system ADP and really.
- Assists with interview scheduling for human resources and hiring managers
- Initiates and tracks the completion of background checks, drug tests and other pre-employment requirements
- Meets with new hires on first day (in office) and ensures the completion of new hire paperwork
- Coordinates and supports all onboarding activities
- Assists with planning and execution of New Employee Orientation meetings, PowerPoint slides etc..
- May assist with other aspects of the recruiting process, i.e. conducting screening interviews, distribution of resumes
Other Duties
- Act as back-up to Human Resources Administrator for such duties as eVerify, HRIS administration, responding to unemployment claims, reconciling and coding invoices for recruiting, benefits and background checks etc.
- Assist with the administration and configuration of HRIS system ADP
- Responsible for administration and creation of work anniversary certificates, ordering office supplies and business cards
- Other duties as assigned
Education and General Requirements:
High School Diploma/ GED Required
- Associates/Bachelors Degree preferred
- Prior related office experience strongly preferred, especially in a recruiting environment
- Demonstrated excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Demonstrated excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize, plan, follow-up and organize multiple tasks
- Proficient with Microsoft suite of products and ability to learn other systems
- Ability to contribute to a team-oriented environment
- Ability to operate with a sense of urgency, while not compromising on attention to detail and maintaining strict confidentiality
- Ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels within the organization
- Non-Exempt/ Hourly Position- Range is $21- $23 per Hour
