Eastern Illinois University invites applicants to serve as Dean of Student Success. This position provides strategic and operational leadership in the areas of student learning and student success for the campus community. The Dean develops and implement strategies to improve engagement, retention, and prepare students for academic success. The Dean of Student Success oversees the Office of Academic Advising, the Academic Support Center, the Office of Accessibility and Accommodations, Testing and Evaluation Operations, and TRIO Support Student Services. In doing so, this deanship requires a collaborative leadership approach.
Requirements
- Must hold a terminal degree appropriate to one of the disciplines in a College with teaching, research/scholarly/creative achievements, and service commensurate with a tenured faculty appointment;
- Significant administrative and budgetary experience in a higher educational setting at the level of department chair, director or other senior level administrative position;
- Experience using and implementing data-based decisions that promote student learning and success;
- Proven leadership experiences including the ability to deal effectively with a diverse and broad range of constituencies;
- Demonstrate ability to foster and promote programs and activities with both on and off-campus constituencies;
- Commitment to innovative undergraduate education;
- Commitment to inclusive excellence and diversity
Salary/Pay Rate: $110,400 - $120,000
