Eastern Industrial Supplies, Inc., a leading provider of industrial products and solutions, is seeking a highly qualified professional to join our Accounting / Accounts Receivable team in Greenville, SC as a full-time Accounting Compliance Specialist. Summary: Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and financial best practices while working closely with internal teams, customers, and third-party systems to maintain efficiency and accuracy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for overseeing two critical financial processes with the Company: the Lien Waiver Process and the Employee Expense Reporting Process. Other duties may be assigned.

Lien Waiver Process (Accounts Receivable)

• Manage the construction lien process through the company's third-party online system, ensuring proper tracking, notices, and filings.
• Review and respond to lien waiver requests from customers in a timely and professional manner.
• Research customer payments, job details, and project status to determine lien waiver eligibility.
• Collaborate with internal accounts receivable, sales, and legal teams to resolve lien waiver disputes and ensure compliance with state construction lien laws.
• Assist in preparing and managing legal demand letters and bond claims for unpaid invoices.
• Serve as the subject matter expert on lien waivers, providing guidance and training to internal teams as needed.

Employee Expense Reporting Process (Accounts Payable)

• Oversee the company's employee expense reporting system, ensuring expense reports are reviewed, approved, and processed accurately.
• Become proficient in administrating the third-party expense reporting system, troubleshooting issues, and supporting employees with system-related questions.
• Verify that expenses are coded correctly and comply with company policies.
• Identify and address any discrepancies or policy violations, escalating issues as necessary.
• Assist with system enhancements, employee training, and process improvements related to expense reporting.

Requirements:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• 2 year of experience in accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, or financial compliance.
• Experience with lien waivers, payment or performance bonds, bond claims, or construction finance preferred.
• Familiarity with expense reporting systems (Emburse Enterprise/Chrome River, Concur, Expensify, etc.) is a plus.
