Accounting Specialist
Job Description:
Maintenance and reconciliation of customer accounts receivable balances, including application of receipts, write-offs, etc. Balance sales to registers and deposits to customer balances. Perform general accounting functions including bank account reconciliations. Balance credit card sales to deposits.
Serve as backup for the Accounts Payable function. Accounts payable function to include invoice entry, verify proper authorizations, ACH generation, and paper check runs. Daily balancing of trial balance. Reconciliation of trial balance to general ledger.
Assist in collecting audit request information and confirmations.
Balance general ledger accounts. Financial record-keeping and reporting.
Research transactions and provide information to the accounting team, credit department, and CFO.
General office functions.
Qualifications:
· 2 year Associate Degree in Accounting and/or equivalent experience strongly preferred.
· Basic understanding of accounting principles (debits/credits).
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office products specifically Excel.
· Willingness to learn and work well with other members of the accounting team.
· Written and oral communication skills.
