Position Summary :

This position is responsible for interaction with new and existing customers in order to grow accounts. The candidate needs to be highly motivated and must possess a proven record of accomplishment in sales. This position will also act as a direct report for a team of Inside Sales Representatives.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities :

The following duties are typical of those performed by employees in this job title; however, employees may perform other related duties, and not all duties listed are necessarily performed by each employee in the job title :

  • Communicate with customers, including but not limited to phone contact, written and faxed correspondence to ensure highest level of customer service and relations.
  • Effective written documentation and communication with respect to quotes, sales orders, and other data as required.
  • Maintain and interpret all quote documentation with accurate pricing and configurations; prepare quotes and contracts for potential customers.
  • Establish personal rapport with customers in order to identify current and future customer needs.
  • Generate prospective customers through cold calling, close sales generated by cold calling; follow up with sales leads.
  • Submit call reports in a timely manner and prepare sales reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing sales information.
  • Interviewing, selecting, and training of employees
  • Setting and adjusting Inside Sales Reps rate of pay and hours of work
  • Directing, planning and apportioning the work of employees
  • Maintaining production or sales records for use in supervision or control
  • Appraising employees’ productivity and efficiency for the purpose of recommending promotions or other changes in status
  • Handling employee complaints and grievances
  • Disciplining employees (or making recommendations on discipline that are seriously considered)
  • Determining the (sales) techniques to be used by employees
  • Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs
  • Report to the Inside Sales Manager

Qualifications :

  • Four year college degree is preferred
  • Experience managing people is preferred
  • Supervisory experience is preferred
  • Prior customer service and sales experience are required
  • Some metals industry or aluminum sales experience would be a bonus
  • Ability to organize, plan and prioritize duties; Detail oriented
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong math skills are required
  • Must be willing to sign our standard non-compete agreement
