We are expanding and looking for good, qualified Inside Sales Representatives to join our Eastern Metal team.
Purpose of position: This position is responsible for interaction with new and existing customers in order to grow accounts. The candidate needs to be highly motivated and must possess a proven record of accomplishment in sales.
Duties and Responsibilities: The following duties are typical of those performed by employees in this job title; however, employees may perform other related duties, and each employee in the job title necessarily performs not all duties listed:
- Communicate with customers, including but not limited to phone contact, written or faxed correspondence to ensure highest level of customer services and relations. Both strong listening and communication skills are crucial as an Inside Sales Representative. Sales representatives need to know when to talk and when to listen. Representatives will also learn how to listen for common objections and utilize sales training to overcome them.
- Generate prospective customers through cold calling; close sales generated by cold calling; follow up with sales leads
- Effective written documentation and communication with respect to quotes, sales orders, and other data as required
- Maintain and interpret all quote documentation with accurate pricing and configurations; prepare quotes and contracts for potential customers.
- Mathematical skills are required for an Inside Sales Representative position. Salespersons will often have to calculate percentages, sales prices and discounts quickly and accurately.
- Many sales representatives work in a teamwork environment. They may have to interact with operations, marketing or other sales team members to meet sales goals. Interpersonal and teamwork skills will assist the sales representative in effectively working in a team environment.
- Generate prospective customers through cold calling; close sales generated by cold calling; follow up with sales leads
- Skills in persuasion and influencing can assist an Inside Sales Representative in closing a sale. Salespersons will learn to build relationships, develop trust and learn when to persuade.
Qualifications:
- High level of focus and attention to detail.
- Resilient personality capable of thriving in the face of adverse calling situations
- Four year college degree is preferred
- Prior customer service and sales experience are required
- Some metals industry or aluminum sales experience would be a bonus.
- Ability to organize, plan and prioritize duties: Detail oriented
- Strong verbal and written communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong math skills are required
