(Corporate - Credit) Credit Representative

Experienced Credit & Collections Representative sought to join our distribution team. This position is responsible for analyzing credit history and collecting payments from customers in accordance with the Credit Policy. The candidate must exhibit a high level of professionalism at all times and possess excellent communication skills both written and oral. The candidate must be a skillful negotiator and have the ability to collect balances both large and small in a very fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
*Maintaining effective control of all assigned accounts in accordance with guidelines established in the Credit Policy.
*Closely monitoring cash receivables, establishing credit relationships with credit-worthy companies and collecting balances within established credit terms.
*Communicating with inside and outside sales representatives regarding credit decisions, delinquencies, deliveries, credit holds, etc.
*Generating email correspondences and making sound credit decisions on problematic accounts.
Requirements
Preferred Qualification and Education:
High School diploma mandatory but college degree or college credits preferred
Five years of related experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills a must
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
High level of professionalism and persuasive negotiation techniques
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced credit and collections environment
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management
Bi-Lingual (Spanish) a plus
