Job Summary:
The behavioral health specialist works directly with EOCIL’s Victor Fox Housing Services to support emergency and transitional housing clients that use substances. The behavioral health specialist provides counseling services that help individuals identify and address traumatic events and other barriers to maintaining long-term housing, health, and recovery.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions utilizing art therapy techniques to promote mental well-being.
- Assess and develop treatment plans for clients, addressing gender issues and psychopharmacology as needed.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records using Microsoft Office tools.
- Stay updated on best practices in behavioral health and participate in ongoing training and development.
- Ensure compliance with licensing requirements and ethical standards in all interactions.
Job Qualifications:
- Professional license (LCSW, CSWA, or Licensed Psychologist)
- Ability to pass criminal background review.
- Valid Driver’s License or access to self-arranged transportation for outreach, meetings, and events.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, including Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
