About this opportunity
This position is responsible for the oversight and participation in all activities associated with the reconditioning of propane containers and for the delegation of the daily functions of Tank Reconditioning facility staff. This position is also responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of the facility, Eastern vehicles, assisting with ad hoc projects, and providing the highest level of safety and service to customers and coworkers.
What your role will look like
- Oversee and perform propane container reconditioning activities including moving propane tanks, evacuating liquid/vapor, removing valves, purging air, sandblasting, painting, replacing valves, applying methanol, re-pressurizing, and performing leak checks.
- Operate hoisting equipment including forklift and loader.
- Maintain all propane vessels and valves to ensure they are leak-free prior to being available for service.
- Maintain sandblast, evacuation, and paint equipment and monitor that they remain in optimum and safe operating order.
- Utilize web-based platforms on laptop and desktop to manage workflow and record data.
- Maintain and report accurate inventory of tanks, tools, fittings, and materials.
- Perform maintenance and security activities of tank reconditioning facility and property.
- Support Eastern’s policies and procedures, including by maintaining required licensure, meeting state, Department of Transportation (DOT), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) requirements, and complying with all applicable regulatory standards.
- Remain alert and focused and otherwise complete work in a safe manner.
What you’ll bring to this role
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Three years of industry experience preferred.
- Certification: Certified Forklift operator preferred.
