What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community Care Aide position at Eastern Shore Community Services Board?
We are seeking a highly motivated and caring individual to join our team as a Community Care Aide. In this vital role, you will provide direct care services and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, promoting their health, safety, and well-being in residential and non-residential settings.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Safeguarding the health, safety, and civil rights of all individuals
- Providing input for and implementing skill-building/training objectives outlined in Person-Centered Plans (PCPs)
- Assisting individuals with daily living skills and personal care needs, including cleaning their rooms or apartments, meal planning, cooking, toileting, bathing, dressing, and money management
- Transporting ambulatory and non-ambulatory individuals safely and securely
- Completing required service-related documents, such as individual PCP outcomes, checklists, incident reports, and written support notes
To be successful in this role, you should possess a valid driver's license with a satisfactory record and have experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. You must also demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
