Shore History is seeking an energetic and creative Marketing Director to lead its communication, outreach, and marketing efforts. This full-time role offers flexibility and requires a proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marketing, graphic design, digital engagement, and content creation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to increase Shore History’s visibility, engagement, and overall impact.
- Create compelling marketing materials, including press releases, news articles, radio ads, e-blasts, postcards, flyers, digital advertisements, and more to effectively communicate the organization’s mission and initiatives.
- Regularly update and maintain Shore History’s website with accurate event and program details to ensure clear and timely communication with the public.
- Manage and expand the organization’s social media presence on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube, leveraging engaging content to foster audience growth and interaction.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director on administrative projects, including the design and compilation of the Annual Report, newsletters, grant writing, and general correspondence.
- Assist in planning, promoting, and executing various events and programs to enhance community involvement and awareness.
- Work closely with office staff, the Board of Directors, town administrators, organizational partners, and community members to support Shore History’s mission and initiatives.
- Support daily office operations by managing voicemail messages, answering and directing phone calls, and assisting with visitor inquiries.
- Foster relationships with the community and collaborate with like-minded organizations to promote Shore History’s mission.
Qualifications and Experience
- Required:
- Minimum of 2 years of marketing experience.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
