What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager On Duty position at Eastern Sports Management?
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in the development, organization, delivery and administration of sports leagues, tournaments, recreation programs, activities and events.
- Assist in Planning, organizing, scheduling, and directing all games, facilities, and officials for sports and activities
- Actively research new sports events and activities targeted toward youth and adults
- Assist in the recruitment, hiring, on-boarding, training, development and supervision of team members
- Ensure a high level of customer service for all program participants
- Able to remain calm and focused in emergency situations
- Assist with the design and development of marketing material for programs
- Ensures that event standards are met
- Provides data and reports for events as needed
- Assist in producing and managing the events budget to ensure revenue and event service goals are achieved.
- Reports directly to the General Manager/Operations Director
- Assist in management of financial resources or the facility
- Conduct tournament planning for current and future needs
- Designs the organization’s tournament policies and procedures
- Plan, market, sell, set up, execute, break down, clean up, evaluate, all event programs
- Build customer relationships for continued sales and retention
- Manage tournament cash flow and forecasting
- Monitor sales and tournament sales forecasts
- Reconcile daily cash drops from the facility and deposit in safe
- Work with vendors to ensure best pricing and quality (i.e. Awards, shirts, vendors, etc.)
- Create schedules that adhere to the needs of various team needs while offering the best competitive environment
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed, required, or assigned by the General Manager and/or the Operations Director
