GM / Director of Operations

Established in Pennsylvania in 1986, ETI (formerly Eastern Technologies, Inc.) and our team of experienced water treatment professionals have specialized in assisting water treatment companies with their chemical blending needs for the last 35 years. We provide a complete line of chemical formulations for boiler water, cooling water, potable water, process waters, fuel conditioning, and wastewater treatments. Our team of chemists, formulators, blenders, and water treaters calls upon a range of proven solutions, applied uniquely to ensure that our customers have the highest uptime, lowest water consumption, and most effective solutions to meet their clients’ daily operational needs.

JOB OVERVIEW
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Operations/General Manager to lead our operational strategies and ensure the efficient functioning of our organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in operations management, strategic planning, and process improvement. This leadership role requires an individual who can effectively negotiate, manage teams, and drive business development initiatives while fostering a culture of excellence.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Innovation Leadership:

• Set strategic direction for new product development
• Identify emerging market opportunities and customer needs
• Build partnerships with research institutions and technology providers
• Establish innovation metrics and goals
• Create structured processes for evaluating, rating, and implementing new ideas

Technical Excellence:

• Maintain overall responsibility for chemical formulation and blending operations
• Support laboratory operations and quality control programs
• Oversee technical leadership team
• Maintain ISO 9001 quality management system
• Ensure regulatory compliance across all operations
• Oversee safety initiatives

Commercial Growth:

• Drive revenue growth through existing and new markets
• Develop and execute commercial strategy with sales team
• Build and maintain key distributor and vendor relationships
• Maintain and own overall company P&L
• Lead market expansion initiatives

Team and Culture Development:

• Build a culture of trust, technical excellence, and practical innovation
• Foster continuous improvement and learning
• Maintain high standards for technical and operational performance
• Serve as Visionary role within ETI’s EOS effort
• Empower and lead teams throughout the organization
• Adhere at all times to ETI’s Core Values

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, business or engineering. Industrial water experience preferred
• 10 years of experience in business, operations and/or technical support
• Proven success in management and leading teams

• Proven ability to lead technical teams and drive innovation
• Strategic thinking with solid execution capabilities
• Experience building and developing high-performing teams
• Understanding of industrial operations and the water industry(preferred)
• Ability to manage a budget
