As a Digital Content Strategist, you will bring an audience-first approach to planning and overseeing the content strategy, requirements, and deliverables that support EWU’s brand across web, social media, and other digital platforms. This role will be pivotal in :
Developing and maintaining a comprehensive content strategy for the EWU brand.Creating targeted and differentiated user-centric narratives and content journeys, including compelling calls-to-action.Maximizing the impact of content through analysis, writing / editing, usability, and project management.Key Responsibilities :
Create, edit, and optimize web content that aligns with EWU’s brand, SEO best practices, and accessibility standards.Conduct UX audits and use data-driven insights to improve navigation, user engagement, and site performance.Develop and maintain a strategic content map to ensure consistency, enhance discoverability, and boost SEO across 1,000 webpages.Collaborate with campus partners to provide training, troubleshoot issues, and maintain high-quality content using WordPress.Support email marketing and storytelling efforts by developing cohesive, audience-focused campaigns aligned with institutional goals.What We’re Looking For :
Experience : Three or more years of professional experience working with web content.Skills : Exceptional communication, organization, and creativity. Strong editing and writing talent.Passion : A genuine passion for storytelling and the ability to juggle multiple tasks effectively.Required Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.3-5 years of related experience in marketing, journalism, and / or communications.Proven experience in web content management and or digital marketing.Previous experience with Google Analytics and SEO tasks, including keyword research and content optimization required.Strong understanding of SEO principles and best practices, including keyword research and content optimization.Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and content management systems like WordPress;Excellent writing and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, including both short and long-term efforts, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Demonstrated willingness to collaborate across multiple departments and functional areas.Proven diplomacy and ability to work with colleagues from diverse backgrounds and technical abilities.Creative problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.Exceptional attention to detail.
