Job Summary

Under supervision of the Assistant Registrar, the Residency and Records Coordinator exercises judgment in applying rules and regulations. Provide prospective, new and continuing students, program participants, staff, campus partners and/or the public with information and interpretation of program content, policies, procedures, and records and registration actions related to the program. The position handles difficult, cross-administrative department student needs concerning records and residency. Positive and efficient customer service is provided in-person, via email, and over the telephone. This position provides general programmatic support for Washington State Residency application processing, major declaration, processing complete withdrawals, etc. This position supports new staff in aspects of processes, customer relations, problem resolution and maintaining records. Identifies and recommends change to office policies and procedures that improves student access to college services.

The salary for this position is $42,552 (minimum) up to $48,960. Where the hired candidate will begin within this range is dependent on education, experience, and skills. - Associate’s degree (any discipline) AND three (3) years of experience in the program specialty, which is defined as experience handling student records related to registration and the residency process involving students, faculty, staff and/or campus partners; OR equivalent program support services experience beyond entry-level support work in lieu of education and three (3) years of experience in the program specialty, which is defined as experience handling student records related to registration and the residency process involving students, faculty, staff and/or campus partners
- Work experience in an office of registration, admissions, financial aid, support services or a related function or three years of experience providing assistance to customers regarding inquiries, complaints or problems
- Proficiency with computer software including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal, telephone, email and communication skills
- Candidate must demonstrate interest, ability and/or experience promoting cultural competency, universal accessibility, and/or diversity
