Qualifications
Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED equivalent. Three or more years’ experience shipboard testing, developing procedures, performing test validation, verifying pre-requisites, and documentation into deliverable test reports. Previous ship construction and test, or USCG/USN Service, with shipboard mechanical and electrical experience, preferred. Experience developing test procedures using ABS NVR is highly desired. Must be able to effectively troubleshoot issues and failures. Experience with integration of a test program into Program Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), starting with design through fabrication, construction, and delivery preferred.
Skills: Intermediate-level Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook experience. Working knowledge of various web-based design and collaboration tools desired. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, Company policies/procedures, and governmental regulations. Ability to interpret contract requirements, specifications, and drawings into a comprehensive test program. Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks with strict deadlines. Ability to effectively present information, brief presentations, and respond to questions from senior management, employees, government officials, and the public. Effective written and verbal communication skills are required. Ability to forge and sustain outstanding client relationships while managing multiple workstreams. Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment and pay attention to detail. Ability to work both independently and as part of the project team while exercising diplomacy and tact. Ability to rapidly obtain, sort, filter, and analyze large volumes of data for distillation into high-level reports.

This job will operate in multiple environments, including a professional office environment, and Shipboard during the production, outfit, test, and delivery phases of each Ship. Employee must be able to work in a ship production environment, including climbing, entering tanks and voids, etc., in all weather conditions. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
