Functions

The Electrical Engineer I will work closely with team members to: 

• Review documents, diagrams, and analyses
• Coordinate with project stakeholders to ensure quality deliverables are submitted in accordance with the Contract requirements.
• Assist in the production of detailed plans of action and deficiency reports to support the project objectives and schedules.
• Assist with construction planning support activities.
• Assist in the integration of the design in Production and work closely with shipyard personnel.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Reporting Relationship

• This position will report to Engineering Department Manager

Job Requirements

Qualifications

Education/Experience: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering

Required

The qualified candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience:

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering
• Ability to interpret Contract requirements and specifications.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and AutoCAD.
• Capable of learning department-specific software programs to assist in various analyses.

Desired

The following knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience are preferred but not required:

• Experience with CDRL deliverables development
• Experience with one or more ABS design standards, such as SVR, NVR, INSG, HSNC, etc. highly desired
• 0-5 years of Engineering experience in a DOD/DHS shipbuilding project
