Position Opening – Payroll Specialist

Easterseals Delaware & Maryland’s Eastern Shore is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our dynamic Human Resources team! Key Job Responsibilities:
- Perform routine payroll procedures such as processing payroll, employment verifications, entering new hires in the payroll system, and troubleshooting challenges as they arise
- Coordinate employee leaves of absence including FMLA, non-FMLA, STD, and LTD
- Support in the process of workers compensation claims
- Maintain payroll/HRIS database
- Ensure compliance with all laws and regulations regarding payroll
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3-5 years of demonstrated payroll experience in an automated environment
- 3-5 administrative experience
- Excellent computer expertise including payroll processing, Excel spreadsheets, Word processing, and database programs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in ADP is a plus
- Knowledge of Human Resources function
This position is a full-time, 40-hour per week position, Monday-Friday 8AM-4PM. The compensation for this role is between $24.00 - $31.00 an hour and is based on experience in the field. To apply, send resume and cover letter to Alex Older at AOlder@esdel.org
