Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. In this role, you will work directly with children and individuals with autism and other developmental disorders, implementing behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Your primary focus will be to assist in the development of essential skills, promote positive behavior, and support clients in achieving their personal goals.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized treatment plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles.
- Assist clients in developing social, communication, and daily living skills.
- Collect and record data on client progress and behavior for research purposes.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Educate families on behavioral strategies and techniques to support their loved ones.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Provide behavior management strategies to address challenging behaviors effectively.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Skills
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality practices.
- Experience assisting individuals with behavioral health needs, particularly children.
- Familiarity with research data collection methods related to behavioral analysis.
- Proficiency in Applied Behavior Analysis techniques and methodologies.
- Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for educating clients and families.
- Ability to maintain detailed medical documentation accurately.
- Strong problem-solving skills for effective behavior management.
