Job Description
The Philadelphia Division is one of the largest and one of the more complex enterprises in the Easterseals of Southeastern Pennsylvania umbrella. The 2023-2024 Budget for the Philadelphia Division, as approved by the Board of Directors, has budgeted revenue of over $6M. The Division now has 102 employees employed on a regular basis in the Early Intervention and Yaffe Centers, working in center-based and community-based positions. These include Administrative Staff; Teachers; Teacher Assistants; Feeding Assistants; Nurses; Occupational Therapists; Physical Therapists; Speech Therapists; Therapy Aide; Social Worker; Bus Drivers; Bus Attendants and Maintenance Person.
The Division serves over 700 children. The major programs managed by this Division include the Approved Private School, Early Intervention Program, Charter School Services, Transportation Services and an Extended School Year program.
Qualifications
The Division Director must possess a Bachelor’s degree in related area, and a minimum of five years of proven and effective leadership in the following areas: program oversight, management and supervision, budget and fiscal management, and contract stewardship; and the ability to analyze data to assist with monitoring service delivery.
The qualified candidate will possess the ability to work sometimes flexible and demanding hours and the ability to travel throughout the territory served by the agency including occasional meetings with contract providers acting as the Easterseals representative.
This Director role requires the ability to work effectively under pressure as well as to work cooperatively with other staff members and volunteers and provide motivational leadership for his or her team.
