At Easterseals PORT Health, we’re seeking a compassionate and dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Provider (NP, PA or MD) to join our Outpatient Therapy Team (OPT) in New Bern, NC. As a valued member of our collaborative and supportive team, you will work together to transform the lives of individuals by providing a comprehensive range of services that treat the whole person and empower patients to find their way forward.
What You’ll Do
The primary purpose of the Provider, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Physician's Assistant (PA) is to provide stabilization and treatment services to mental health / substance using clients and work in collaboration with other clinical professions to facilitate positive outcomes for them. Services provided to patients include but are not limited to giving medical diagnosis, ordering therapy and prescribing medications as well as medication management. The Provider maintains accurate and up to date referral sources, a therapeutic environment and promotes appropriate and healthy interpersonal behavior. Supervision is provided for NP's and PA's.

You’ll earn a competitive salary based on your experience plus enjoy a Monday-Friday, 8 am-5 pm work schedule with some evening flexibility for program and client needs. What we’re looking for:
- Current NC License to practice or Certification Required as a NP or PA
- NC Board certified-Psychiatrist
- Substance Use and/or Medication Assisted Treatment experience preferred
