The Easterseals Rehabilitation Center is seeking a full-time, energetic and results driven Employment Specialist to join our team in the Evansville and Mt Vernon, IN area.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:
- Support clients with resume writing, job search strategies, and interview prep
- Provide on-the-job coaching and training in real-world work settings
- Help clients build essential work skills and adjust to new environments
- Build and nurture strong connections with local employers and employment agencies to support workforce development
- Connect participants with community resources and businesses that can assist with employment, vocational training, and transportation needs
- Monitor progress, document performance, and coordinate services with referral sources
- Collaborate with a supportive team to meet client and department goals
REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION:
- 2 years of college or background in human services (associate or bachelor’s degree preferred)
- Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities, vocational rehabilitation services, and State agencies (VR, BDDS, Waiver) desired
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule
- Comfortable using computers and documentation systems
- Must have a valid Driver’s License and current Car Insurance with the ability to provide own transportation to and from community job sites
ABOUT EASTERSEALS: The mission of Easterseals Rehabilitation Center in Evansville, IN, is to make profound, positive differences in the lives of local people with disabilities every day, and to change the way our community defines and views disability. Easterseals provides a variety of services including: PT, OT, Speech, Audiology, aquatics and Psychology services, has a fully inclusive early learning center serving children 6weeks to 5 years, has 8 group homes housing adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities, custom wheelchair and seating mobility services, drivers rehabilitation programs, home and worksite modification program, transportation and community employment.
