DESCRIPTIVE STATEMENT

OF POSITION:

Part time position working under the direction of the special education and general teaching professionals to support inclusive programs for children with academic and behavioral challenges in small group and/or 1:1 settings. Assistant is a member of the inclusion and special needs teams responsible for implementing educational plans.  Duties also require support for general building activities, student arrival, dismissal, and lunch.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Demonstrated prior experience providing support services to students
• Evidence of high education with coursework specific to Special Education preferred
• Minimum of a high school diploma, college experience preferred, especially in the area of Special Education
• Must be willing to be trained in Crisis Intervention

SALARY:

Per Paraeducator Contract
