What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Technician position at Easthampton Animal Hospital?
Easthampton Animal Hospital is a privately owned practice that is looking for an experienced veterinary technician (CVT/LVT is preferred) to join our hospital; we are a busy five doctor general practice providing high quality care to dogs, cats and some pocket pets. New certified veterinary technician graduates are welcome to apply.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Phlebotomy
- Digital radiographs
- Assisting in patient appointments
- Preparing and running of laboratory samples (urinalysis, ear cytology, and blood samples to name a few)
- Administering IM, SQ, and IV injections
- Placing IV catheters
- Restraint
- Client Education

- Detail oriented and a strong team player
- Open to learning new procedures and policies while being able to accept constructive criticism when given
- Excellent communication skills
- Outgoing and positive attitude
- Punctual
